Bridget Scarr may not be a name that you know…yet, but chances are that you have seen some of her work. She is a woman of many talents. She graduated from Rhodes University in 2004 and quickly jumped into the workforce, eager to make her place in the world. One of her first professional positions was working for Urban Brew Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa, as a production manager. She gained valuable experience through the next several years working in television, marketing, and more. In 2008 she began working for Pollen Creative Media when it was a small team of only 10 employees and a small budget. With her talents and expertise, Scarr was able to help grow the company exponentially to employ over 200 people.
Always ready for something new, bigger, better, and greater, Bridget Scarr founded Colibri Studios. She is the executive producer for the company. Colibri specializes in content development, augmented reality, digital content, and cutting-edge media. She utilized her ample experience as a TV producer, production manager, and partner to ensure top quality content. At Colibri, Scarr works with clients to come up with engaging stories that are exquisitely executed. The end result is always pleased clients and many word-of-mouth recommendations.
Her passion for creativity has fueled her career in every way, but her life has not been without challenges. She suffered a terrible financial loss while pregnant that took all of her worldly possessions from her. She literally had to start over from scratch which wasn’t easy. Scarr suffered from depression for a time but the birth of her son and the support of her partner rallied her spirits. Meditating became a huge help to calming her mind, body, and soul as did every moment spent playing with her son. She got back to work with many new, exciting ideas. Currently, in addition to her normal workload, Scarr is not only writing a book but also working on an album. Surely Bridgett Scarr will likely see her ideas come to fruition, share her passions with the world, and become a success in her own right.
